Today's Lesson

In honor of Halloween we're going to learn about one of the Middle Grade Book Award Books. (Formerly The Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award).

Here's what to do:

First:  watch a book trailers about the book.

SECOND: watch a book review about the book

THIRD:  watch the author read a section of the book

Forth: In SeeSaw please share

1. what you notice about the differences and similarities between the trailer and the book review. 

2. After listening to thefirst little bit of the book which format, book trailer or book review really captures the book?

3. Are the goals of a book trailer and a book review the same or different?
