What is a Book Trailer?
Book trailers are a sneak peak into a book.
The goal of a trailer is to get someone excited to read a book.
Trailers can be very different. Watch these three trailers. They are all about the same book but are all very different.
Which one do you like best?
Book Trailer Project Rubric
Trailer submissions due by 6/9 and will be shared on 6/10
WHAT is it? A book trailer is like a movie preview... but for a book!
WHO will watch them? Fellow students at Dover, maybe even kids from Marlboro, Newbrook, and Wardsboro!
WHY are we doing it? To practice skills at video editing and to get kids excited to read books you have enjoyed!
HOW long are they? 40 -120 seconds.
What Is a Storyboard? It is a sequence of drawings, typically with some directions and dialogue, representing the shots planned for a video.
Why is a storyboard helpful? It is a very important because it clearly conveys how the story will flow, as you can see how your shots work together. It also allows you to see potential problems that would not go unnoticed, ultimately saving you time.
